The Office of Grants and Research (OGR) at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi has officially opened its new office at the KNUST Library Mall, to mark a significant step towards strengthening research and grant management within the University.
The new office is expected to enhance the operations of the Office of Grants and Research and support the university’s mission of advancing knowledge through impactful research.
The opening ceremony was preceded by a blessing led by the Catholic Chaplain, Rev. Fr. (Dr.) Anthony Frangtana Naah, who dedicated the space and prayed for impactful outcomes from the work to be undertaken at the office.
Rev. Fr. Dr. Naah expressed hope that the office would produce research outputs that would serve humanity. He noted that through the work carried out at the Office of Grants and Research, “humanity will continue to enjoy the benefits of the establishment of this institution.”
The Director of the Office, Professor Jerry John Kponyo, expressed gratitude to University Management for allocating the new office space at the Library Mall.
“We want to thank the university management for the opportunity and the allocation of this space. We will continue to work for the good of the University,” Prof. Kponyo said.
